Configuring Daily Rates

Prerequisites for Configuring Daily Rates.

Daily rates allow you to change the price schedule for each room type on a daily basis. This allows you to work with rates at a more detailed level by raising or lowering the pricing schedules for future dates "on the fly". Whether or not a yield management system is integrated with OPERA Cloud rates can be managed according to your daily needs.  Daily rates can coexist with other traditional date range based rate codes.

Daily Rates can also be used with another feature called Daily Rates with Dynamic Base Rates. Daily Rates with Dynamic Base Rates provide dynamic calculations of daily rates. Through a different set up and configuration, OPERA Cloud makes the pricing schedule calculation and applies the lowest daily rate for the guest's stay, based on availability. Up to 20 rate codes can be designated as 'Daily Rates''; the Daily Rate rate type checkbox is disabled once 20 rate codes are configured.

Adding Daily Rate

  1. Create daily rate codes by using the Configuring Rate Codes presentation page.

  2. Setup the rate code as a Daily Rate on the Rate Code Type. For more information, see Configuring Rate Code Type

  3. Setup the Daily Pricing Schedule for each room type.
