Prerequisites for Pre Register Arrival Reservations

Preregistration offers a low-touch check-in experience and helps to streamline check-in. From a mobile app, guests can update their contact details and pertinent information regarding their stay, including confirming the estimated arrival time. 

Two options are available for preregistration:
  • OPERA Cloud Mobile Guest Experience web application: Eligible guests receive an email and can register their stay on a smartphone device up to 48 hours prior to arrival.

    • Reservation eligibility is set up in the Guest Experience Administration Portal. For more information, see OPERA Cloud Mobile Guest Experience user guide..

    • To assist with arrival preparations, Guest Experience can add one or many reservation traces once the preregistration is completed successfully. See Managing Reservation Traces.

  • Oracle Marketplace partner solutions: See Accessing Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

    • Reservation eligibility is determined by the preregistration rules configured. See Configuring Pre-Registration Rules.

    • The Pre-registration External System Trace OPERA Control determines the trace department for reservation traces added by the integrated solution.

    • The Pre-registration External System Alert OPERA Control determines the alert code for use by the integrated solution.

The Arrivals Report (res_detail) offers a filter for preregistered arrival reservations. See Arrivals Reports.

When the Alerts OPERA Control is active, you can configure global alert rules for the preregistered status. See About Reservation Alerts.

Searching for Preregistered Arrival Reservations

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Front Desk, select Front Desk Workspace, and then select Preregistered.

  2. Click Search.

Manually Preregistered Arrival Reservations

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Front Desk and then select Arrivals.

  2. Enter search criteria and then click Search.
  3. Select the reservation from the search results, click I Want To. . . and then select Preregister Reservation.

Reversing Preregistered Arrival Reservations

To remove the preregistered status from a reservation:

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Front Desk, select Front Desk Workspace, and then select Preregistered.

  2. Click Search.

  3. Select the reservation from the search results, click I Want To. . . and then select Reverse Preregister Reservation.
