Configuring Communication Methods

OPERA Cloud supports a variety of communication methods for exchanging data with external systems using OXI (OPERA Xchange Interface). The following standard communication methods are preconfigured:

  • Email - HTML or ASCII text email.

  • Printer - Hardcopy printer.

  • VID - Video conferencing.

  • Data - Lead data exchange.

  • Fax - Facsimile.

You can configure additional communication methods if required.

Adding Communication Methods

  1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Communication Methods.

  2. Click New and complete the following

    1. Code: Enter a code for the communication method.

    2. Description: Enter a description of the communication method.

      1. Manage Translation: Click link to configure localized descriptions. For more information, see Configuring Localized Code Descriptions. (Available when the Multi Language OPERA Control is active.).

    3. Sequence: Enter a display sequence.

  3. Click Save or Save and Continue to add another.

Editing Communication Methods

  1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Communication Methods.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the communication method, in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Update the configuration.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Communication Methods

  1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Chain and Property and select Communication Methods.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the communication method, in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm
