Changing Your Location in Central or MultiProperty Operations

With an OPERA Cloud Central Management Services or OPERA Cloud Foundation subscription and multiple properties configured, you can change your location to view and manage data in other properties. 
  • By selecting a Hub  location, you are able to view and manage data for the properties associated with the Hub. A hub location is typically used by reservation and sales agents and who need to view accommodation and event space availability, create Reservations, Blocks and Events in various properties. For more information, see Configuring Hubs.

  • By selecting a Sales Hub location, sales agent can operate from a pseudo sales property to manage sales accounts, sales activities and opportunities for the properties associated with the sales hub. (Available when the Central Sales OPERA Control is active).

  • By selecting a Property location, you are only able to view and manage data for the property.

    Note:

    The combination of Hubs, chain and property roles granted to your user account determines which areas of OPERA Cloud can be accessed and the data that can be viewed or managed across multiple properties. For more information, see Manage Roles.

Changing your Location

  1. From anywhere in OPERA Cloud, locate your user name (and current location) in the top-right corner panel.

  2. Click this panel to display additional options.

  3. Click Change Location to display a Select Location page.

    1. Search By: Select Hub or Property.

    2. Enter a search text and click Search.

    3. Select the required Hub or Property from the list.

    4. Click Select to change your location.

      Your OPERA Cloud session re-initializes and your new location is displayed in the top right.

Selecting Default Property for Hub Operations

When operating from a hub location, you can select a property to default to the Property field when performing searches.

  1. From anywhere in OPERA Cloud, locate your user name (and current location) in the top-right corner panel.

  2. Click this panel to display additional options.

  3. Change location to a hub. See Changing Your Location.

  4. Click Select Default Property to select a property

    1. Select a property from the list, then click Select.

Clear Default Property for Hub Operations

When operating from a hub location, you can clear the set default property

  1. From anywhere in OPERA Cloud, locate your user name (and current location) in the top-right corner panel.

  2. Click this panel to display additional options.

  3. Change location to a hub. See Changing Your Location.

  4. Click Default Property (PROPERTY-CODE) 

    1. Click Clear.
