Managing Shift Reports

Shift Reports are a selection of reports to generate in a batch process.  For example, you may wish to configure 'Downtime Reports' for unplanned power or data outages - generating reports such as Arrivals, Inhouse, Departures, Housekeeping Room Status, Guest Ledger Balances etc. All reports selected for a Shift Report generate with the default parameters (filter, display options, sort order) configured on the report and output as a single file.

When the Report Scheduler OPERA Control is active you can setup Shift Reports to auto-generate periodically. See Managing Scheduled Reports .

Viewing (Generating) Shift Reports

Note:

 A new browser window is launched to generate shift reports and can be minimized while reports are generating. All reports are combined in a single PDF file.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Shift Report in the search result, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select View.

  4. Select the report destination:

    1. Leave Destination as selected: Reports will generate to destination as listed above; use Change to Email, Print options to modify the destination for a specific report.

    2. Change Destination for all reports: Allows you to change the destination.

      1. Preview: Generates a PDF file that can be printed or downloaded.

      2. Email to Print : Generates a PDF and emails direct to a printer for printing; select a printer from the list.

      3. Email: Generates a PDF and emails file as attachment to specified email address.

Adding Shift Reports

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Click New and enter the following details:

    1. Property: Enter or select a property.

    2. Display Name: Enter a name for the shift report.

    3. From the Available panel select report(s) to add to the Shift Report; press the Ctrl key to select multiple reports in search result.

      1. To search for a report, enter the report name in Filter and click Go.

    4. Click the forward arrow > to move the selected report(s) to the Selected panel.

    5. Repeat these steps to select other reports to add to the Selected panel.

    6. Click Save.

Editing Shift Reports

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Shift Report in the search result, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Update the report selection.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Shift Reports

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Shift Report in the search result, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
