Managing a Sales Account Profile

Editing Sales Accounts

Sales Account Profiles are companies, travel agents, and (booking) sources. In MultiProperty operations profiles are shared across all properties when profile sharing is active; ensuring details, such as negotiated rates, notes, and attachments are available to users in all your properties.

Revenue production is tracked against the various profiles linked to a reservation (either guest or group and event billing masters) or block. When the Relationship OPERA Control is active, you can aggregate room night and revenue production from subsidiary accounts on a parent sales account. For more information, see Managing Profile Relationships.

When the Profile Name Validations OPERA Control is active, a check is performed to ensure the correct profile type was selected for the name entered; for example "Oracle" must be created as a company profile. For more information, see Configuring Profile Name Validations.

When the Profile Protection OPERA Control is active you might be prevented from updating profile details. Only users with the Override Profile Protection task assigned their roles can override the protection status and update the profile. For more information, see Configuring Profile Protection
