Update the Business Date

Your properties business date can be updated when:

  • All expected departure reservation balances are settled and checked out, or the reservation departure date is extended or otherwise resolved from due out status.

  • All open cashiers are closed. When the Auto Close Cashiers OPERA Control is active, open cashiers are automatically closed during end of day processing.

When the above conditions are met, OPERA Cloud displays a notification to all users, advising a time duration before the business date advances. The browser tab where end of day is processing remains active to complete the update business date process. In all other browser tabs and user browser sessions, a message indicating that the business date is being advanced (updated) is displayed and once completed a confirmation message appears. After selecting OK the OPERA Cloud session is reinitialized with the new business date.
