In OPERA Cloud, go to Bookings, blocks, and then select Manage Block.

Click the I Want To ... menu then select Create Opportunity.

In the Block Definition panel, enter a property, start date, end date, Block Name, Block Code,

Reservation Type and any additional information.

In the Room Details panel, I can select a Rate Code from the Rate code magnifying glass

and then click select.

I can select a Room type from the Room type magnifying glass and then click select.

Next, click save to save the details for the Opportunity.

Or I can click Save and Manage Block to open Block Presentation.

In the Block Overview panel, I can click Edit to add more details to the Opportunity.

Then click Save.

I can also click Save and Go To Room Grid to open the Room & Rate Grid.

In the Room and Rate Grid screen, I can click Edit to allocate rooms and rates for the opportunity.

And then click Save.

To Update Opportunities, go to Bookings, blocks, and then select Manage Block.

In the Manage Block screen, I select the Manage Opportunities check box and then enter any

additional search criteria

Then click Search.

I select the opportunity block in the search result.

To update the Opportunity I click the I Want to.. menu and then select Block.

I can update the details by clicking the Edit option and then click Save.

To convert an opportunity to a confirmed block, select Bookings, Blocks, and then select Manage

I select the Manage Opportunities check box and then enter additional search criteria

I select the opportunity block in the search result, then click the I Want to.. menu and

select Convert Opportunity To Block.

Now, I can see the Block status updated.

To update the status of an opportunity to lost, in the Manage Block screen, I click

the I Want to.. menu and select Release Opportunity.

In the Cancellation Details panel, I can select a cancellation reason from the Block Cancel

I can enter a destination and a property name if the opportunity is booked elsewhere.

To cancel any pseudo room reservations created for the block, I can select the Cancel PM

Reservations checkbox and select a PM Cancel reason and then click Select.

The cancellation number is recorded in the Viewing Changes Log Details.

Now, I can see the Opportunity status updated to a Lost status.
