Configuring Transaction Code Subgroups

Transaction codes are linked to a subgroup, a transaction subgroup is then linked to a transaction-group. For each transaction group, you must have at least one transaction subgroup. Tax generates can be defined at the subgroup level per property and will be inherited by all transaction codes linked to the subgroup.

Adding Transaction Code Subgroups

  1. From the Administration menu, select Financial, select Transaction Management, and then select Transaction Subgroups.

    Note:

    When the Multi Property OPERA Control is active, new Transaction Subgroups can only be created by clicking the Template tab. Once created, you can copy the configuration to specific properties using the Copy action. For more information, see Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties.
  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Code : Enter an alpha-numeric code.

    2. Description : Enter a description of the transaction code subgroup.

    3. Transaction Group : Select a transaction group from the list. After you select a transaction group, the Type field value will display the transaction code type: Revenue (Sales), Payment, or Wrapper.

    4. Sequence: Enter a display sequence to determine or order of this subgroup when it appears in a list.

  3. Click Save.

Editing Transaction Code Subgroups

  1. From the Administration menu, select Financial, select Transaction Management, and then select Transaction Subgroups.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the transaction sub group in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Make the desired changes.

    1. Click New to configure tax generates on the sub group. For more information, see Tax Generates.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Transaction Code Subgroups

  1. From the Administration menu, select Financial, select Transaction Management, and then select Transaction Subgroups.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the transaction sub group in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
