Configuring Function Space Types

Use the Function Space Types screen to configure the different types of function spaces available at your property, such as Ballroom, Boardroom, or Conference. This can be helpful in the Function Diary when filtering for a suitable function space.

Function Space Types are assigned to the function space using the Function Space Setup screen. For more information, see Configuring Function Spaces.

Adding Function Space Types

  1. From the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Function Space Management, and then select Function Space Types.

  2. Click New and complete the following fields:

    1. Code: Enter a code for the function space type, such as BALL.

    2. Description: Enter a description for the function space type, such as Ballroom.

      1. Manage Translations: Click link to configure localized descriptions. For more information, see Configuring Localized Code Descriptions. (Available when the Multi Language OPERA Control is active.).

    3. Sequence: Enter a number that controls the position of this code in listings. Codes without a sequence number assigned are listed in alphabetical order following codes with a sequence assigned.

  3. Click Save or click Save and Continue to add another.

Editing Function Space Types

  1. From the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Function Space Management, and then select Function Space Types.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the function space type, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Make the required change to Description or Sequence.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Function Space Types

You can delete a Function Space Type only if it has not been assigned to a Function Space.

  1. From the Administration menu, select Inventory, select Function Space Management, and then select Function Space Types.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the function space type, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
