Managing Out of Order Rooms

Out of order rooms are removed from room inventory, reducing the number of available rooms for the dates the room is Out of Order. Reservations cannot be allocated to a room in Out of Order status. Rooms in Out of Order status are identified by Out of Order (OOO) icon When the Unit Status OPERA Control is activate, Reason is replaced with Unit Status.

Adding Out of Order Rooms

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Out of Order.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter the search criteria and click Search.

  4. Select one or more rooms in the result.

  5. Click Set Out of Order and complete the following:

    1. Reason/Unit Status:Select a reason from the list. Defaults according to the Out Of Order Default Reason Code OPERA Control.

    2. From Date: Select the desired dates to change the rooms' status.

    3. Nights: Add or remove number of nights for which the room needs to out of order.

    4. Through Date: The room will automatically be returned to inventory during end of day processing for the Through Date.

    5. Return Status: Return Status Select the status that the room(s) when returned to service.

  6. Click Set Out of Order.

Editing Out of Order Rooms

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Out of Order.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the room in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Update the details.

  5. Click Set Out of Order.

Deleting Out of Order Rooms

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Out of Order.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the room in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete Out of Order to confirm.
