Managing Telephone Book Categories and Entries

The telephone book is available to maintain contact information for local theaters, restaurants, taxi stands, airlines, churches, employee directory, other properties, etc. The Telephone Book stores all information for guest referral and each entry is categorized, such as restaurants, transportation etc. Within each category are the contact entries with names, telephone numbers, and web addresses of people and places that your staff may need. The Telephone Book can be used as a Concierge guide, with information that can be helpful to communicate to the guests such as area attractions, airports, or transportation system companies and remarks.

Adding Telephone Category

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous,  select Telephone, then select Telephone Book Category.

  2. Click New and enter the following details:

    1. Category: Select the category from list.

    2. Description: Enter a description for category.

    3. Sequence:  Enter a Sequence to determine the order in which the type appears.

    4. Global: Select the check box to enable this category (and the related Telephone Book entries) in all properties.

3. Click Save.

Editing Telephone Category

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous,  select Telephone, then select Telephone Book Category.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the entity, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Update the details.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Telephone Category

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous,  select Telephone, then select Telephone Book Category.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the entity, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Adding Telephone Book Entry

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, select Telephone Book .

  2. Click New and enter the following details:

    1. Category: Select the category from list.

    2. Name: Enter name for telephone book entry.

    3. Telephone:  Telephone number for the entry.

    4. Web Address: Web address for the selected name/company. This web address also serves as a hyper link to the highlighted name's web page.

    5. Notes: Enter notes such as directions to movie theater, church services times, restaurant reviews and any other additional comments.

  3. Click Save.

Editing Telephone Book Entry

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, select Telephone, then select Telephone Book .

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the entity, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Update the details.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Telephone Book Entry

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, select Telephone, then select Telephone Book .

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the entity, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
