Configuring Trace Owner Mapping

Use owner mapping to assign activities to a different owner on behalf of an owner; select the original owner and who the new owner for activities created is to be.

For example: Joe is the sales person but Mike sends out his proposals and contracts.  In owner mapping Joe would be populated in the Owner Code field and Mike in the Trace Owner Code field. Then when creating Trace Code Definitions for proposals the Block Owner would be selected along with the Owner Assignment checkbox.

Adding Activity Trace Owner Mapping

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Trace Owner Mapping.

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Owner Code: Select an owner code from the list. This is the original owner responsible for any new activity created.

    2. Trace Owner Code: Select an owner code from the list. This is the (new) owner to be assigned any new activity created.

  3. Click Save.

Editing Activity Trace Owner Mapping

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Trace Owner Mapping.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, select the required trace owner mapping, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Edit.

    1. Update the configuration.

    2. Inactive: Select check box to make the trace owner mapping inactive. Inactive owner mappings do not appear in search results unless you click the Actions ellipsis and select Show Inactive.

  4. Click Save.

Deleting Activity Trace Owner Mapping

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Trace Owner Mapping.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, select the required trace owner mapping, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
