About Occupant Threshold Pricing

Prerequisites for Occupant Threshold Pricing

With Occupant Threshold Pricing, fixed values can be setup based on the number of Adults, Children, and/or Occupants for one or more room types. Once any of these variables is exceeded for a reservation, the fixed amount specified is added to the price , per Occupant, Adult, Children or any combination as defined.  

The following fields can be used independently of each other or used in combination to define the occupant threshold.

• Adults: Enter the maximum threshold number of adults per room and the amount to charge if the adult threshold number is exceeded.

• Children: Enter the maximum threshold for the number of children per room and the amount to charge if the child threshold number is exceeded.

• Occupants: Enter the maximum threshold number for the number of occupants per room and the amount to charge if the occupancy threshold number is exceeded.

Note:

When the Base Rate Extra Person Calculation OPERA Control is active, Base Rate rules will then apply to the threshold amounts for Base Rates only. From a Dynamic Base Rate and Advance Dynamic Based Rates point of view, threshold amounts will not be included in the calculation when calculating pricing for these two rate types.

Note:

When the Child Rates By Defined Buckets OPERA Control is active and prices have been specified for these child age buckets, then these prices will also be included in the calculation of the occupant threshold pricing.
