    1. Property: Enter or select the Property.

    2. Interface: Select an Interface that you need to configure.

    3. Description: Enter a description of the interface (Automatically populates when you select a defined interface).

    4. External Property: Enter the external property. This is the external system’s property code for the selected interface. You must enter the correct external system property code here.

    5. External Database: This field is automatically populated when you select an Interface. If the database code is not automatically populated, you can click the search icon to select a database.
      1. If there are no database codes available, you can create a new database code in the recommended format, for example, CHAIN-INTERFACE.
        1. Click New and complete the following.

          1. Code: Enter a code.

          2. Description: Enter a description and select or deselect the Copy Subscription check box.

          3. Properties: Select properties from the list. For more information, see Configuring External Databases.

          4. Click Save.

        2. Click Close. The database code defaults to the External Database field.

    6. Delta Mode

      1. Yes:Select this option if the external system does not sends the full message for changes. For example, a room type change is sent for a reservation. The external system sending these delta changes sends only the mandatory message items together with the changed room type. In this case, only the data sent would be updated in OPERA Cloud, and all other data is retained as inserted earlier. This also depends on OXI parameters.

      2. No: Select this option if the external system sends the entire message for changes as well. This is called a ‘full overlay’ of data. For example, the external system sends a full message with the updated room type for the room type change. In this case, all data for this record is deleted and re-entered in OPERA Cloud. Based on the interface ID, this is already preconfigured for custom interfaces.

    7. Data Flow: Select options to define the data flow for the interface.

      1. External System -> OPERA : Select check box for all interfaces that receive data from an external system.

      2. OPERA -> External System: Select check box for all interfaces that send data to an external system.

    8. Deletion Indicator: In the deletion indicator panel you can set indicators for deleting data in OPERA Cloud from an incoming message. This section is accessible only if the Delta Mode radio button is set to Yes, which indicates that the external system does not always send full data for a change. In this case OXI leaves data that is not sent in the message untouched in OPERA Cloud. It is therefore important that the incoming message signals clearly when data gets deleted. This is the purpose of setting the deletion indicators.

      1. Character: Select values from the list. Character values allowed are ~, *, ^.

      2. Numeric: Select a numeric value from the list. Numeric value allowed -99999.

      3. Date: Select a date from the list.

    9. Message Format: Defaults to XML format, which is the only format supported.

    10. XML Versions
      1. Set All Version As: Select a version from the list to update all XML Type versions to the selected version.

      2. If you wish to change the version for a particular XML Type select the row and change the version.

      3. Click the vertical ellipsisActions menu and select Negotiate to negotiate with the external system for the supported XML versions and updates in source interface XML versions for the XML types accordingly (Available only for Oracle Hospitality OPERA to OPERA integrations).

    11. Click Save.
