Configuring Rate Override Reasons

Prerequisites for Configuring Rate Override Reasons

Rate override reasons are used to explain why rates were overridden when selecting the Rate Override action in the Block Room Grid. For more information, see Managing Block Room and Rate Grid. 

Adding Rate Override Reasons

1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Block Management, and then select Rate Override Reasons.

2. Click New and complete the following:

   1. Code: Enter a Code that will identify the rate override reason.

   2. Description: Enter a Description for the rate override reason.

   3. Sequence: Enter a Sequence number to indicate the position of this rate override reason code in a list of displayed values.

   4. Click Save.

Editing Rate Override Reasons

When editing an existing block cancellation reason, you cannot modify the code.

1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Block Management, and then select Rate Override Reasons.

2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

3. Select an override reason in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

4. Update the configuration.

5. Click Save.

Deleting Rate Override Reasons

1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Block Management, and then select Rate Override Reasons.

2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

3. Select an override reason in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

4. Click Delete to confirm.
