Managing Multiple Events

Premium badge icon. You can simultaneously edit or delete multiple events from the Multi Edit Events page.

When making multi edits, keep the following in mind:

  • If the Keep Event Details On Type Change OPERA Control is active and no Start time and End time are entered, the existing Start time and End time of the events will not update with the Event Type change.

  • If the Keep Event Details On Type Change OPERA Control is inactive and no Start time and End time are entered, the Start time and End time of the events will update with the configured defaults of the selected Event Type. If no defaults are configured, the existing Start time and End time will not be changed.

  • Regardless of the Keep Event Details On Type Change OPERA Control, if Start time and End time are entered, the selected events are updated with those times.

  • If the Exclude Event from Forecast based on Function Space OPERA Control is active and the Function Space selected has the Exclude from Forecast check box selected, the Exclude from Forecast radio button defaults to 'Yes'

  • If the Exclude Event from Forecast based on Function Space OPERA Control is active and the Function Space selected has the Exclude from Forecast check box unchecked, the Exclude from Forecast radio button defaults to No.

Adding Multiple Menus/Items to Events

Premium badge. Available when the Batch Update Event Resources OPERA Control is active.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Events, and then select Manage Events.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the event in the search result, then click I Want to. . . and select Event Resources.

    1. Click the Menus/Items drawer tab.
    2. Enter search criteria and click Search.
    3. Select a menu in the search result, then click Save and Add to other Events to add resources to multiple events for the same Block.

Editing Multiple Events Menus/Items

Premium badge. You can use Save and Apply to other Events to add Menus/Items to Events when OPERA Control Batch Update Event Resources is Active.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Events, and then select Manage Events.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the event in the search result, then click I Want to. . . and select Event Resources.

    1. Click the Menus/Items drawer tab.
    2. Enter search criteria and click Search.
    3. Select Menu/Item in the search result.
    4. Click Save and Apply to other Events to add Menu/Item resources to events with same common menu for the same Block.

    Note:

    When this selection is made, a screen with Events having the same common Menu will be shown, allowing you to select which Events you want this change to be applied to. When applied, the selected events will inherit all the values from the source Menu, and any existing values will be overwritten with the new ones.

Delete Multiple Events Menus/Items

Premium badge. Available when Batch Update Event Resources OPERA Control is active.

Note:

Only those Events to open which have same common resource for selection. This will be a multi select screen and you will be able to select which all Events you want to be deleted.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Events, and then select Manage Events.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the event in the search result, then click I Want to. . . and select Event Resources.

    1. Click the row level action menu Menus/Items.
    2. Click row level Delete.
    3. Click Delete to confirm.
