Viewing Alternate Property Availability

Prerequisites for Viewing Alternate Property Availability

Use Alternate Property Availability to view a count of the available and occupied rooms for various properties from a hub location. Switch between Availability and Occupancy to view availability or occupancy of selected properties and their alternate properties.

The following is the difference between Property Availability and Alternate Property Availability:

• Property Availability shows the availability, occupancy and other relevant values for just one property.
• Alternate Property Availability shows the availability and occupancy for multiple selected properties along with their alternate properties.

Viewing Alternate Property Availability

Availability

1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory and then select Alternate Property Availability.
2. Properties: Select the properties from the list. This field is a required field.
3. Date: Click and select another date to view availability for that specific date. The current date is displayed by default. This field is required.
4. Alternate Properties: Alternate Properties are selected by default. If you remove this filter chip, availability will not be displayed for the selected properties.

   Note:

   You can choose any date and view the availability for 31 days from the selected date.
5. Show Room Types: This icon is disabled by default and becomes enabled only when a single property is searched and alternate properties are not selected.
6. Property Totals: Shows the total number of available rooms in each property and each alternate property.
7. Out of Order: You can use this option for both multiple and single property searches. It displays separate out of order room counts for selected properties and their alternate properties.

   Note:

   When alternate properties filter is removed and a single property is searched, room type level Overbooking count, Non-Deduct reservations count, and Out of Order counts can be viewed by selecting the Show Room Types icon in the toolbar.
8. Non-Deduct: You can use this option for both multiple and single property searches. It displays separate non-deduct (tentative) rooms count for selected properties and their alternate properties.
9. Overbooking: You can use this option for both multiple and single property searches. It displays separate overbooking count for selected properties and their alternate properties.

Note:

• The task bars are displayed in red to indicate that the property is overbooked, along with the overbooking count.

• You can hide the availability status for alternate properties by removing the Alternate Properties filter from the search criteria.

Occupancy

1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory and then select Alternate Property Availability.
2. Properties: Select the properties from the list. This field is a required field.
3. Date: Click and select another date to view availability for that specific date. The current date is displayed by default. This field is required.
4. Alternate Properties: Alternate Properties are selected by default. If you remove this filter chip, availability will not be displayed for the selected properties.
5. Occupancy: Select from the list located next to the Alternate Properties topic title.

   Note:

   Occupancy will be displayed from the selected date up to 31 days for the selected properties and their alternate properties.
6. Property Totals: Shows the total number of occupied rooms in each property and each alternate property.
7. Non-Deduct: This optional filter chip can be used for both multiple and single property searches. It displays separate non-deduct (tentative) rooms count for selected properties and their alternate properties. When alternate properties filter is removed and a single property is searched, room type level non-deduct reservations count can be viewed by selecting the Show Room Types icon in the toolbar.

Note:

• Occupancy count will never be less than 0.

• You can hide the occupancy status for alternate properties by removing the Alternate Properties filter from the search criteria.
