Configuring SMART Profile - Regions

You can create SMART Profile Regions to organize multiple properties for use in merge rules. Profile regions are only necessary if you want to apply specific merge rules to certain groups of properties. If you do not need profile regions, you can skip this configuration step and select NONE in the Profile Region field when defining your merge rules.

Adding Smart Profile Regions

  1. From the Administration menu, select to Client Relations, select Profile Management, and then select SMART Profiles - Regions.
  2. Click Add Region and enter the required information:
    1. Region: Enter a unique code to identify the geographical region such as NAM for North America. You cannot edit this field if you are editing an existing profile region.
    2. Type: Select Merge rules as the type.
    3. Description: Enter a description of the region.
    4. Properties: Select all the properties that are within this region.

      Note:

      A property can only be assigned to one region and cannot be duplicated across regions.
    5. Click Save smart profile icon to save the region.

Editing Smart Profile Regions

  1. From the Administration menu, select to Client Relations, select Profile Management, and then select SMART Profiles - Regions.
  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select region in the search result then click the Edit icon to edit.

  4. Update the configuration.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Smart Profile Regions

  1. From the Administration menu, select to Client Relations, select Profile Management, and then select SMART Profiles - Regions.
  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select region in the search result then click the Delete icon to delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
