PWA - Package Consumption
Package Consumption replaces the need to generate and distribute In-House reservations with package reports by providing real-time, interactive package validation and consumption tracking using a mobile device.
To view available packages for consumption per reservation, create Package Categories and associate them with Package Codes. For example, if you would like to track the consumption of Breakfast packages, create a Package Category "Breakfast" and associate all breakfast packages to that Package Category.
Using Package Consumption
-
Tap or click Package Consumption in the Ask Oracle module.
-
Select the relevant Package Category from the drop-down list.
-
All In-House reservations are sorted by room number.
Note:
Room numbers may appear multiple times, if Share Reservations are checked into the same room. -
You can search by room number or guest name using the quick search option at the top of the screen.
-

Note:
Once the total quantity of Packages available for the selected room/reservation is consumed, the Consume All button becomes unavailable. - The Available versus Consumed Package Quantities are displayed for information purposes at the top of the room/reservation detail screen.
- To view Company, Travel Agent, Group or Accompanying Guest names, tap or click on the Associated Profiles link.
Note:
In addition to the quick search, you can filter reservations by criteria, such as the guest name, the company or travel agent name associated with the reservation or a Block Code.
Post Packages
With the Post Packages feature, you can add packages for guests who did not include specific services or products in their original reservation, or for those who want to enjoy additional services or products in greater quantities. This feature gives you the flexibility to accommodate changing guest preferences, fulfill last-minute requests, and take advantage of up-selling opportunities during a guest's stay.
You can efficiently record supplementary packages for individual guests, ensuring accurate billing and easy access to the full range of amenities and experiences your property offers. By using Post Packages, you streamline the management of add-on and upgrade requests, helping you maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.
- Navigate to the Package Consumption Module, select a Package Category and tap or click on a reservation.
- Tap or click Post Packages.
- Packages associated with the Package Category and available for posting are listed with their Package Code, Description, Price, and, if available, an image associated with the Package configuration.
- Select a Package, confirm the quantity and Post the Package Price.
Note:
Only Packages that are selected as Sell Separate with a sell date and pricing schedule including the current business date will be available for posting.Parent topic: OPERA Cloud Mobile Application - Progressive Web App
