About Credit Card Wallet

The Credit Card Wallet feature in OPERA Cloud provides secure storage and management of credit card tokens at either the Profile or Reservation level.

You can select the storage preference in the Credit Card Wallet OPERA Control. For more information, see OPERA Controls — Cashiering.

Only one option can be selected:

• Profile: Store all credit card tokens at the guest profile level.
• Reservation: Store all credit card tokens at the reservation level.

Note:

• When the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) OPERA Control is active, you cannot set the wallet to Profile.

  If PSD2 is activated while the wallet is set to Profile, the system prompts a warning message:

  Credit Card wallet setting configured as profile, the configuration and existing Credit Card tokens stored at the profile level are removed.

  • Selecting OK purges all profile-level tokens and clears the wallet control.
  • Selecting Cancel keeps the existing setting and does not activate PSD2.

When the Credit Card Wallet OPERA Control is set to Profile or Reservation, a default-selected check box labeled Store Credit Card Token to the Wallet appears in the Payment component when new credit card details are entered. This allows the credit card to be saved to the designated wallet according to the storage setting. The Payment component also includes a Select a Credit Card action labeled Credit Card Wallet. Selecting this action opens the Credit Card Wallet screen, where you can view stored credit card tokens and select one to add to the Payment component. The Delete Credit Card from the CC Wallet user task removes credit card tokens from the wallet, if needed.

You can store and retrieve the credit card tokens from the following screens:

• Look to Book (LTB)
• Check-in
• Payment Instructions
• Payments from Billing Screen
• Deposit Payment/Deposit Folio
• Routing
• Credit Bill (Available only for Profile wallet).
• Passer by (Available only for Profile wallet).

When merging two reservations, their wallets are combined and duplicate credit cards are removed. For more information, see Merge Reservations.

The reservation wallet is not copied to new reservation when you copy a reservation. For more information, see Copy Reservations.
