Quick Launch

Use Quick Launch to easily access frequently used menu options across the application and administration, as well as predefined reservation searches.

Access Quick Launch by clicking This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch in the top right of the OPERA Cloud menu or by pressing the F2 function key from anywhere in OPERA Cloud.

The Quick Launch page is divided into two sections: My Quick Links and Quick Links.

My Quick Links can be setup for chain, hub or property locations using page composer customisation, see

Managing My Quick Links

The My Quick Links area displays links for frequently used menu options as well as custom links for external websites.

Note:

The My Quick Links available are based on the tasks granted to your role(s).

Adding My Quick Links

  1. Click This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch icon from the OPERA Cloud menu or press F2.

  2. Click Manage Quick Links.

    1. Enter search terms for any menu item, for example, Run Reports, and then click Go.

    2. Highlight the required menu item(s) in the search results and then click Add (>) or click Add All (>>) to move all items to the selected panel.

    3. Click Save .

Removing My Quick Links

  1. Click This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch icon from the OPERA Cloud menu or press F2.

  2. Click Manage Quick Links.

    1. In the Selected panel, locate or search for the quick link you would like to remove, select it in the list, and then click Remove (<) or click Remove all (<<) to remove all items in the list.

    2. Click Save.

Adding Custom Links

  1. Click This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch icon from the OPERA Cloud menu or press F2.

  2. Click Manage Custom Links and enter the following details:

    1. Name: Enter a name for the link.

    2. URL: Enter the URL for the website or web application.

    3. Click Add.

    4. Click Save .

Editing Custom Links

  1. Click This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch icon from the navigation bar or press F2.

  2. Click Manage Custom Links.

    1. Update the Name and URL.

    2. Click Save .

Deleting Custom Links

  1. Click This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch icon from the navigation bar or press F2.

  2. Click Manage Custom Links.

    1. Select the URL listed in Edit URLs, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

    2. Click Delete to confirm.

Using Quick Links

The Quick Links section of Quick Launch lists several predefined reservation searches and menu links and provides keyboard access keys to launch the search.

For example:

  • From anywhere in OPERA Cloud, you can quickly navigate to Arrivals by clicking This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch or pressing [F2] and the pressing [A].

  • To launch the Arrivals search as a new browser session, click This figure represents the rocket icon for Quick Launch or press [F2] then hold down the [SHIFT]  key and press [A].

Note:

The Quick Links available are based on the OPERA Controls active at your property. For example, you may or may not have access to features like Advance Checked In, Open Folios, and Scheduled Check Outs.
