Configuring Cities and Postal Code

Adding City and Postal Codes

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Geographic Management, and then select City and Postal Codes.

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Country: Select a country from the list. For more information, see Configuring Countries.
    2. State: Select a state from the list. This field appears if states or provinces are configured for the Country selected. For more information, see Configuring State Codes.
    3. Territory: Select a sales territory from the list. When a country and postal code are configured together with a territory linked to them, the territory will default to the Territory field on Sales Account and Contacts when the Country and Postal Code are selected on those screens.
    4. District: Select a district from the list to associate with this country/state/territory/city/postal code combination. For more information, see Configuring District Codes.
    5. Fiscal Region: Select a fiscal region from the list. See Configuring Fiscal Regions.
    6. From Postal Code / To Postal Code: Enter the define the start and end range of the postal codes valid for the particular country/state/territory/city.

      Note:

      Alphanumeric characters are accepted. If a single postal code is to be associated with the/country/state/territory/city combination, enter the same postal code in both the From Postal Code and To Postal Code fields. If a Postal Code is not entered, a City must be entered. When a Country and Postal Code are configured together with a Territory linked to them, the territory code defaults in the Territory field on Sales Account and Contacts when the Country and Postal Codes are selected on those screens.
    7. City: Enter a city (suburb associated with the country/state/territory/city/postal code combination. If a city is not entered, you must enter a postal code.
    8. Click Save.

Editing City and Postal Codes

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Geographic Management, and then select City and Postal Codes.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.
  3. Select the city in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.
  4. Update the details
  5. Click Save.

Deleting City and Postal Codes

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Geographic Management, and then select City and Postal Codes.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.
  3. Select the city in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.
