Launching OPERA Cloud Mobile

Note:

Log in to OPERA Cloud Mobile before you bookmark, create Home Screen shortcuts, or install the PWA.

Launch OPERA Cloud Mobile to a mobile device by scanning a QR code using the mobile device camera.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud desktop side menu, select OPERA Cloud Mobile.

  2. Open the camera app on your mobile device and scan the QR displayed.

  3. Select the link displayed.

Adding Home Screen Shortcut in Safari on iOS and iPadOS Devices

To add a shortcut icon on your mobile device home screen.

  1. Open the Safari app on your Phone.

  2. Launch the OPERA Cloud Mobile URL.

  3. Select the Share icon.

  4. Scroll down the list of options, then tap Add to Home Screen.

Adding Home Screen Shortcut in Chrome on iOS and iPadOS Devices

To add a shortcut icon on your mobile device home screen.

  1. Open the Chrome app on your Phone.

  2. Launch the OPERA Cloud Mobile URL.

  3. Select the Share icon in address bar.

  4. Scroll down the list of options, then select Add to Home Screen.

Adding Home Screen Shortcut in Firefox on iOS and iPadOS Devices

To add a shortcut icon on your mobile device home screen.

  1. Open the Firefox app on your Phone.

  2. Launch the OPERA Cloud Mobile URL.

  3. Select the menu icon (ellipses icon in the upper right corner), then select Add to Home Screen.

Adding Home Screen Shortcut in Edge on iOS and iPadOS Devices

To add a shortcut icon on your mobile device home screen.

  1. Launch the Edge browser on your Phone.

  2. Launch the OPERA Cloud Mobile URL.

  3. Select the menu icon (ellipses icon in the upper right corner) in the toolbar, then select Add to Home Screen.

Installing OPERA Cloud Mobile PWA in Chrome on Android devices

  1. On your Android device, open Chrome.
  2. Launch the OPERA Cloud Mobile URL.
  3. Select More on the right of the address bar, and select Add to home screen and then select Install.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Installing OPERA Cloud Mobile PWA in Firefox on Android devices

  1. On your Android device, open Firefox
  2. Launch the OPERA Cloud Mobile URL
  3. In the browser's menu, select the vertical ellipses and look for an Install, Install App, or Add to Home Screen option.
  4. Select the Add to Home Screen option.

Uninstalling the Progressive Web Application (PWA) on Android devices

  1. Open Settings: Access your device's main settings menu.
  2. Go to Apps: Navigate to the Apps or Applications section.
  3. Find the PWA: Locate the OPERA Cloud Mobile PWA from the list of installed apps.
  4. Uninstall: Select the PWA icon, then select Uninstall and confirm the action.

Activating Push Notifications

  1. Add OPERA Cloud Mobile to your Home Screen (iOS and iPadOS devices) or install the OPERA Cloud Mobile PWA (Android devices).
  2. Log into OPERA Cloud Mobile and navigate to Ask Oracle, > User Menu, and then select Notification.
  3. To receive notifications you must be logged into OPERA Cloud Mobile.
