Editing Reservations Using Reservation Sales Screen
When the Reservation Sales Screen Manage Reservation Display OPERA Control, located in the Reservation Sales Screen group, determines which reservation management screen opens when you access a reservation. If the control is set to OPERA Cloud Central Reservation Sales screen, reservations open in the enhanced Edit Reservation flow. If the control is set to OPERA Cloud Property Manage Reservation screen, reservations open in the standard property reservation management screen. For more information, see Managing Reservations.
Editing a Reservation

From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Reservation Sales Screen.

Click Find Reservation .

Enter search criteria using the filter chips displayed.

Select the reservation in the search result. then click the
to edit the reservation.
- Open the reservation using one of the following options:
- Click the confirmation number.
- Click the pencil icon.
- Review the reservation header, including the confirmation number, reservation status, stay dates, adults, children, children ages, resort, and caller details.
- Update the required details in the Overview tab.
Editing Details in Overview Tab
- Arrival: Enter or select the guest check-in date.
- Nights: Enter the number of nights for the stay.
- Departure: Enter or select the guest check-out date.
- Rooms: Enter the number of rooms for the reservation.
- Adults: Enter the number of adult guests.
- Children: Enter the number of child guests.
- Block: Search and select a block, if applicable.
- Rate: Select the rate code for the reservation.
- Rate Amount: Review or update the rate amount.
- Fixed Rate: Select this check box to keep the rate amount fixed.
- Room Type: Select the room type booked for the reservation.
- Room Type To Charge: Select the room type to charge.
- Room Number: Search and select a room number, if assigning a room.
- Packages: View, add, or update packages attached to the reservation.
- Items: View, add, or update items attached to the reservation.
- Market Code: Select the market segment for the reservation.
- Source Code: Select the source for the reservation.
- Channel / Origin: Select the channel or origin for the reservation.
- Reservation Type: Select the reservation type.
- Arrival Time: Enter the expected check-in time.
- Click Save to save changes..
- Click Discard Changes to discard the changes.
If you navigate away after changing a field in the Overview tab, the Save changes and continue? message appears.
From that message, you can select Cancel to return to the Overview tab, Discard and Continue to discard unsaved changes, or Save and Continue to save the changes and continue.
- Cancel: Return to the Overview tab without navigating away.
- Discard and Continue: Discard the unsaved changes and continue to the selected tab or link.
- Save and Continue: Save the changes and continue to the selected tab or link.
- Only reservations in eligible statuses such as Arrival can be edited in RSS. Reservations in statuses including Checked In, Checked Out, Departure, and No Show open in view-only mode.
Editing Linked Profiles
Use the Linked Profiles tab to view, add, update, or remove profiles linked to the reservation, including associated profiles and accompanying guests. For more information, see Managing Reservation Linked Profiles
Editing Packages
Use the Packages tab to view, add, update, or remove packages attached to the reservation. For more information, see Reservation Packages .
Editing Items
Use the Items tab to view, add, update, or remove items attached to the reservation. For more information, see Reservation Packages
Reservation Toolbar Actions
Use the toolbar actions to perform common reservation tasks from the edit reservation screen.
The available toolbar actions can include the following:

Cancel: Cancels the reservation when cancellation is allowed and you have the required task. For more information, see Managing Reservation Cancellation

Reinstate: Reinstates a cancelled reservation when it is eligible for reinstatement and the required permissions are active. For more information, see Reinstating Reservations.

Move: Moves the reservation to another property or eligible reservation option. For more information, see Moving Reservations to Other Properties

Copy: Copies the reservation from supported entry points. For more information, see Copying Reservations

Alerts: Opens reservation alerts. For more information, see Managing Reservation Alerts

Attachments: Opens reservation attachments. For more information, see Managing Reservation Attachments

Sell Messages: Opens sell messages related to the reservation. For more information, see Configuring Sell Messages

Managing Reservation Shares
Use Shares to add a new share to an existing reservation, edit an existing share, adjust share rates, select or remove a payee, manage shared guests, or separate share reservations. A share reservation supports two or more reservations occupying the same room. Each share reservation has its own reservation account, unlike accompanying guests. You can create a new share from a guest profile, combine an existing reservation into a share, or separate an existing share. For more information, see Managing Reservations Shares.

Select Shares.

Choose the action that you want to perform.

Click + to create a new share from an existing guest profile or a new profile. When adding a new share, enter the arrival, departure, adults, children, reservation type, market segment, source, and payment information, and then save the share.

Select an existing share to edit the share details, payee, or shared guests.

Select Share Price Distribution to control how the rate is applied across sharing reservations. Available options can include applying the full rate to each share, applying the entire rate to one selected share, splitting the rate evenly, or applying a custom split when configured.

Select Separate Share to separate share reservations in reserved status.

Note:
When the Enforce Same Stay Dates for Sharing Guests OPERA Control is inactive, shared reservations do not need the same arrival and departure dates but must have at least one stay night in common. When the Enforce Same Stay Dates for Sharing Guests OPERA Control is active, sharing reservations must use the same stay dates. Use the reservation links panel to view or manage additional reservation information from the edit reservation screen. The links displayed depend on reservation status, resort configuration, active OPERA Controls, and the tasks assigned to your role. For more information, see OPERA Cloud Tasks — Bookings.

Linked Reservations: Displays reservations linked to the current reservation. For more information, see Managing Reservation Linked Profiles

Changes Log: Displays the history of changes made to the reservation. For more information, see Viewing Changes Log Details

Closing Script: Displays the closing script for the reservation workflow when configured. Available when the Closing Script New and Update Reservation OPERA Control is active. For more information, see Using the Reservation Sales Screen

Communication: Displays reservation communication details.

Confirmation Letters: Displays confirmation letters for the reservation. For more information, see Using the Reservation Sales Screen

Daily Details: Displays stay details by date. For more information, see Updating Reservation Daily Details.

Deposit / Cancellation: Displays deposit and cancellation policy information. For more information, see Managing Reservation Deposit Request and Cancellation Policy

eCoupons: Displays eCoupons associated with the reservation. eCoupon availability depends on eCoupon configuration and OPERA Controls.

External References: Displays external reference details linked to the reservation. The number indicates the count of external references available. External references are used to store reference numbers from external systems.

Future and Past Stays: Displays future and past stay information for the guest.

Memberships: Displays membership information linked to the guest or reservation. Membership behavior depends on membership handling setup and the applicable OPERA Controls. For related Reservation Sales behavior, see Using the Reservation Sales Screen

Preferences: Displays guest or reservation preferences. The number indicates the count of preferences available. Access depends on the Preferences tasks assigned to the user role. For permissions, see OPERA Cloud Tasks — Bookings
