PWA - Room Status
Use Room Status to update the status of a specific room (for example, to change the room status from Clean to Inspected). When the Discrepant Room OPERA Control is active. You can also update the housekeeping status to identify a Skip or Sleep discrepant room. For more information, see Managing Room Discrepancies.

You can either swipe or use long-press gestures to reveal the available actions for a room.Updating Room Status

Enter search criteria and select Search.

Select the Room to update or swipe left to change the room status.

Select a new room status.
- Inspected (IP)
: An optional status
to indicate a clean room has been inspected by a supervisor (Available
when the Inspected Status OPERA Control is
active).

Clean (CL)
: Indicates the room
has been serviced and is clean.
- Pickup (PU)
: An optional status to
indicate a minimum “touch-up" housekeeping service is required. This
might occur if the room is occupied for only a few minutes and only
needs refreshing (available when the Pickup Status OPERA Control is active).

Dirty (DI)
: Indicates the room
is dirty and requires a cleaning service.

Update the housekeeping status to report a room discrepancy.

An occupied room set to a Vacant status registers a skip discrepancy.

A vacant room set to an Occupied status registers a sleep discrepancy.

Select < to return to the search results.
Updating Housekeeping Statuses
When the Discrepant Room OPERA Control is active. You can also update the housekeeping status to identify a Skip or Sleep discrepant room. For more information, see Managing Room Discrepancies.

Enter search criteria and select Search.

Select the Room to update (or swipe from left to right and select the More.. option, then select the housekeeping status).

Update the housekeeping status to report a room discrepancy:

Select Vacant
to register a skip discrepancy.

Select Occupied
to register a sleep discrepancy.

Select < to return to the search results.

The Number of Guests field is available in occupied rooms and displays the person's value from Front Office Guests. You can edit the Number of Guests to update the Housekeeping persons and to create a Person Discrepancy that displays a person icon on the Room (Available when the Person Discrepancy OPERA Controls is active). A person discrepancy created in OPERA Cloud displays in OPERA Cloud Mobile (PWA) in the Room Status Dashboard tile. You can view the total discrepancy in persons from the OPERA Cloud Room Status tile.
Managing Service Orders

From Room Status, select a room.

Select Service Orders.

In the Service Order Tasks panel, select Open or Completed to view the corresponding service orders.

Select a service order to review its details.

Update the status, priority, assignment, resource group, department, remarks, dates, or photos as needed.

Select the available save action.

Creating a Service Order

In the Service Order Tasks panel, select the plus icon.

Confirm the selected room that defaulted as the target.

Complete the following, as needed:

Photos: Add photos from the camera or gallery when they help identify the work.

Task: Select the required Service Order Task.

Remarks: Enter information that helps the assigned resource understand the request.

Priority: Select the priority.
-
Status: Confirm or select the status.
-
Assigned To: Select the resource when ownership is known.
-
Resource Group: Select the dispatchable group when it is known.

Department: Select the responsible department when it is known.
-
Guest Request: Turn on the indicator for a guest-related request, then confirm the guest name when applicable.

Requires Follow Up: Select the indicator when an additional action is required.

Start Date and Start At: Confirm the work start date and time.

Due Date: Enter or select a due date when it is required.

Select the available create action.
Setting Housekeeping Service Priority
Select to prioritize or to remove priority of the room in the task sheet companion.

Enter search criteria and select Search.

Select the Room to update (or swipe right and select More, and then Prioritize or Remove Priority).

In Room Details, select
to prioritize the room or select
to remove the priority.

Select < to return to the search results
Setting Out of Order / Out of Service Statuses
When the Out of Order and Out Of Service OPERA Controls are active, you can also set vacant rooms to out of order and out of service status. When the Unit Status OPERA Control is active, you can select from a list of Unit Status reasons instead of the standard Out of Order and Out of Service reasons. For more information, see Configuring Unit Statuses.

Enter search criteria and select Search.

Select the Room or swipe to right and select Out of Service
or Out of Order
.

From Date: Enter a start date.
-
Through Date: Enter an end date.
-
Reason: Select a reason from the list. When the Unit Status OPERA Control is active, unit status reasons are displayed.

Remarks: Enter any remarks to provide more information.

Return Status: Select a room status from the list to determine the status the room should have when the Out of Order/Out of Service period ends.

Take Photo: Select
to take pictures and upload to the Out of Order record.

Add from Gallery: Select
to upload pictures from your device gallery or choose from files or take a new
photo to upload to the Out of Order record.

Select Confirm to save.

Updating Out of Order / Out of Service Statuses

Enter search criteria and select Search.

Select on the room in Out of Order / Out of Service status (or swipe to right and select Manage).

Select More Actions and Edit.

Update the details.

Select Confirm to save.
Resolving Out of Order / Out of Service Statuses
- Use the Search by Room to search for a particular room or select Filter to search using the available options.
- Select Edit.
- Select Complete Out of Order/Out of Service to complete the room.
