Service Account

The Service Account is used to run applications, automated services, and background processes in OPERA Reporting and Analytics. It is strongly recommended that this account be associated to a dedicated, non-person user and email address to prevent any interruption in service. A service account must be a privileged account that is associated with the OC_RNA-BIADMIN and OC_RNA-REPORTINGADMIN Groups. To enable the Service Account:

  1. From OPERA Reporting and Analytics navigation menu, click Controls.

  2. Click the System, then Service Account Tab.

  3. From the list, select the dedicated, non-person user account. a. If the account does not show in the list, please reconfirm that the account is associated with the OC_RNA-BIADMIN and OC_RNA-REPORTINGADMIN groups.

  4. Enter the password for the Service Account.

  5. Click the Validate button to confirm the user credentials can be accessed.

  6. Click Save.

Note:

An on-screen notification and a daily email can be provided to authorized users if the credentials have changed or expired.

Password Supported Characters

The password supports the following characters:

  • The alphabetic characters a to z (uppercase and lowercase).

  • The numerals 0 to 9.

  • The following special characters:
