Required Information

For Oracle to configure a connection from the data center to your SFTP service, the following information must be provided.

• SFTP Service Profile Name

  This value allows you to distinguish between SFTP services when more than one SFTP profile used for distribution is defined. This name must be comprised of all capital letters with no spaces or special characters and a maximum of 14 characters. An underscore is acceptable.

• SFTP Service IP / Host Name

  The IP address of the SFTP service is the preferred means of connecting. Hostnames, if provided, need to resolve to the service endpoint.

• SFTP Service Port

  Port number on the IP/ Host to which the delivery service connects.

• Remote Directory

  A defined directory to which the SFTP service will send files by default. The actual remote directory can be defined with each job request. Use of special characters other than an underscore are not permitted. Please ensure that the folder is created on the service and the user has proper permissions to access/write to the directory.

Open an SR requesting SFTP configuration in your R&A instance. The process typically takes 10 to 14 business days to open the connection in the data center after the information is received. While awaiting this process, please review the next sections on Ciphers and Allowed IPs to prevent any delays.

After your request is processed, the SFTP profiles show on your Reporting and Analytics Application Portal under the Controls page. Follow the SFTP Configuration in this User Guide for defining default credentials for SFTP Profile delivery.
