Add a trial for planning and monitoring

If you have access to planning trials, you can add new trials to be digitized and operationally planned. You can start planning a trial as early as when the protocol’s synopsis has been drafted.

To add a trial you upload a trial protocol or synopsis including the Schedule of Assessments into Life Sciences AI Agents. AI extracts the planning-specific protocol elements. During the upload or during review of the extracted elements, you can define specific targets such as the expected project start date, maximum budget threshold, study and enrollment duration thresholds, milestone date targets, and specific sites and countries. Then, Life Sciences AI Agents generates three operational plans with different objectives: cost efficient, fastest, and a balance of both. You can review the trial plans, make any necessary adjustments, and then select the best plan for your trial.

• Trial protocols
  You can begin operational planning as soon as a protocol synopsis is drafted by uploading the synopsis including the Schedule of Assessments into Life Sciences AI Agents.
• Trial plans
  After the protocol processing is complete, Life Sciences AI Agents provides three trial plans by default with different objectives: cost efficient, fastest, and a balance of both. You can review the trial plans, make any necessary adjustments, and then select the best plan for your trial.
• Workflow to add a trial
  The workflow for adding a trial into Life Sciences AI Agents includes a series of steps starting with uploading a protocol or synopsis, reviewing and updating certain data parameters as needed, generating the three trial plans, and then selecting and finalizing an operational plan for the trial.
• Upload a trial protocol
  As a user with access to Trials in Planning, you can view all uploaded protocols and add new protocols into Life Sciences AI Agents. You can upload a draft or final protocol or protocol synopsis including the Schedule of Assessments.
• Review the uploaded trial protocol and generate the trial plans
  After you upload a trial protocol, you can review it and, if needed, add or modify some of the trial parameters.
• Review the AI-generated trial plans
  After Life Sciences AI Agents generates the three trial plans, you can review the plans and make adjustments and comparisons before you select a plan for your trial.
• Select a trial plan
  After you review and make any necessary adjustments to the AI-generated trial plans, you can select the best plan for your trial from the available options.
