A Create ODBC Connection for Oracle Analytics Server Administration Tool

This appendix comprises the steps to create ODBC connection for Oracle Analytics Server Administration tool.

1. Navigate to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Administrative Tools.

2. Double-click Data Sources (ODBC) (64-bit).

   The ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit) dialog box appears.

3. From the System DSN tab, and click Add.

   The Create New Data Source dialog box appears.

4. From the list of the available drivers, select Oracle BI Server, and click Finish.

   The Oracle Oracle Analytics Server DSN Configuration dialog box appears.

5. Enter the following fields:

   1. Name—AN_DSN (or any name)

   2. Description

   3. Server—Oracle Analytics Server Name (FQDN)

6. Click Next.

   1. Login ID—AN_DSN (or any name)

   2. Password

   3. Port—The port must be same as mentioned in the Managed Server port list for Oracle Analytics Server.

      To retrieve this port, go to Enterprise Manager > BI Instance > Availability tab.

7. Click Next.
8. Click Finish.
