Restrict use of like search during duplicate search

Duplicate search not to use Like search by default (Enhancement 30324715)

Description

Duplicate search fields are enhanced not to use Like search by default. If you want to do a Like search, a wildcard character (%) must be used along with the search characters. For example, text% and %text.

The following fields no longer allow the Like search by default:

  • Protocol ID
  • Study ID
  • Center ID
  • Product Name
  • Generic Name
  • Description as Reported
  • First Name, Middle Name, Last Name & Suffix
  • Institution
  • Institution ID
  • Department
  • State
  • Postal Code
  • Patient First Name, Last Name or Initials
  • Pat ID
  • Age
  • ID
  • Keywords
  • Journal
  • Title

The following are the fields where Like search is not applicable:

  • Initial Receipt Date
  • Central Receipt Date
  • Country of Incidence
  • Report Type
  • Initial Justification
  • Onset Date/Time
  • Country
  • Intermediary
  • Date of Birth
  • Age Units
  • Gender

Note:

The Full Search check box continues to perform a full search (like, %CUREALL%). There is no change in current behaviour when only % is searched.
