About file scans

A file scan is performed while uploading files directly to Argus Safety. This scan is asynchronous: you can upload files and continue working while the scan runs in the background.

Until the file scan is complete, a yellow dot icon is displayed to indicate that scanning is in progress.

File scanning is not possible when you load dictionaries other than EDQM, such as WHODrug, MedDRA, J Drug, IMDRF, JFMDA. In addition, file scan is not performed on Argus Insight attachments.

Error handling

Once file scanning is complete, a red dot icon is displayed to indicate that the file is malicious, if identified as such or if the scan failed for any other reason. A corrupted file represents any file identified as containing malware, a virus, ransomware, spyware or any other malicious code.

Case save is not allowed until you delete the malicious file and the following error message is displayed: File has as malicious content, please upload clean file.

If you attempt to open a file while scanning is in progress, or if you click on the yellow dot icon, the following error message is displayed: File is still scanning and cannot be opened.

If files are not scanned due to file service configuration issues, the following error message is displayed: File scan service is not working. Please contact your administrator.

If the file scan service is configured correctly but there are network failures, you if you input a large file is inputethe system, when you click the red dot icon, the following error message is displayed: File scanning failed, please contact your administrator.
