Upgrading an existing installation to a new application server
Use this procedure to upgrade to Oracle Central Coding 7.0.1.1 from an earlier version of Oracle Central Coding.
- You can upgrade from Oracle Central Coding 7.0 or 7.0.1 directly to Oracle Central Coding 7.0.1.1.
To upgrade an existing installation to Oracle Central Coding 7.0.1.1:
- Stop all job schedulers:
- Open the Task Manager and navigate to the Services tab.
- Right-click on any service prefixed with Central Coding Job Scheduler and select Stop.
- Reset the IIS:
- Open a command prompt as administrator.
- Execute the
iisresetcommand.
- Install Oracle Central Coding 7.0.1.1:
- Download and extract the Oracle Central Coding 7.0.1.1 product archive.
- Locate the setup.exe file, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
- Select the Maintain or update the instance… option and select the existing 7.0 or 7.0.1 instance.
- During the installation, select the options for using the existing Coding, Platform, and Dictionary Database users. For more information, see Installing a Oracle Central Coding application server.
- Restart all job schedulers.
- Open the Task Manager and navigate to the Services tab.
- Right-click on any service prefixed with Central Coding Job Scheduler and select Start.
