Supported coding dictionaries

The Oracle Central Coding application supports:

  • Using the following industry-standard coding dictionaries.
    • MedDRA, MedDRA-J, and MedDRA-C—Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities.
    • WHO-DD (C and C3 formats)—World Health Organization Drug Dictionary.

When using WHO-DD you can configure the Oracle Central Coding application to autocode to the Trade Name (default) or to the Medicinal Product. With either configuration option, you can report (return) the Trade Name, Preferred Name, and Ingredients to the source application.

    • WHO-DD (Chinese)—Includes drugs approved in China and product information and text of the assigned ATC code(s) in Chinese (Chinese characters) in addition to all drug names already available in WHO-DD.
    • JDrug—Data File for Ethical Drugs (Coding Table) from Iyaku-Joho-Kenkyujo, Inc.
  • Using multiple standard and custom dictionaries, and using multiple versions of those dictionaries.
