Configuring autocode targets

Use this procedure to select the autocode targets that the Oracle Central Coding application uses when autocoding a request against a selected dictionary or coding definition. The selection overrides the default autocode targets for the dictionary or the existing autocode targets for the coding definition.

Oracle recommends:

  • Setting the autocode targets first for a new coding definition.
  • Running the impact analysis process for an existing coding definition with changed autocode targets.
  1. Perform one of the following:
    • To configure autocode targets at the dictionary level, select Coding Setup > Dictionaries.

      The Dictionaries page appears.

    • To configure autocode targets at the coding definition level, select Coding Setup > Coding Definitions.

      The Coding Definitions page appears.

  2. Perform one of the following:
    • Select a dictionary.
    • Select a coding definition.
  3. Select Actions > Element Configuration.
The Element Configuration page appears. For a description of the fields on this page, see Element Configuration page.
  4. In the Elements section, select the dictionary element to use as the autocode target and, optionally, secondary target:
    • Autocode Target for the element to use as the primary autocode target. Each dictionary has a default primary autocode target that consists of a code, term, and dictionary level.
    • Secondary Target for the element to use for autocoding to something other than the primary autocode target. The secondary target is one level higher than the primary autocode target in the coding dictionary.

      Note:

There are no secondary autocode targets for the JDrug dictionary.
  5. Click the Save button.
