Configuring your system to work with impact analysis

1. Verify that a new standard or custom dictionary version is uploaded.

2. Verify that you have the following rights:
   • View System Configuration
   • Manage Job Queues
   • View Study Lock
   • Manage Study Lock
   • Reconcile Synonyms
   • Reconcile Verbatims
   • Edit Coding Definitions
   • Edit Synonym Lists
   • Run Impact Analysis

3. Stop the Get Request and Return Codes jobs for each study related to the dictionary to upgrade.

   This step prevents the Oracle Central Coding application from receiving new verbatims during the upgrade process.
4. Set impact analysis parameters.

5. Set the dictionary elements to require reconciliation.
   For more information, see: Setting the dictionary elements to require reconciliation, Reconciling a verbatim, and Reconciliation Options page.
6. Set the default reconciliation options for verbatims.
   For more information, see: Setting the default reconciliation options for verbatims and Element Configuration page.
