About interactive coding

Interactive coding (or manual coding) requires you to manually search and select a code value from a dictionary level for a coding request. You use interactive coding to:

• Select a code value when autocoding returns multiple matches or no matches.
• Suggest synonyms for a code value.
• Create a query for a verbatim.
• Change an existing code value.
