Field Description

Adapter Name

The name of the Oracle InForm or Clinical One adapter to add to the study.

Adapter Type

The product type that sends the requests. The Oracle Central Coding application defines this property.

  • INFORM
  • CLINICALONE

    When you select CLINICALONE, the Test button and all the radio buttons used to define the type of communication with the Oracle InForm Adapter are hidden.

Adapter URL

  • For Oracle InForm: The URL for the server where the Oracle InForm Adapter software is installed.

    If you are using authentication to call the Oracle InForm Adapter web services, you must use a TLS connection (https).

  • For Clinical One: The coding service entry point.

Test button

Initiates a test of the connection to the adapter.

If the test is successful, the names of the studies that are associated with the adapter appear on the page.

Note:

This button is hidden if the Adapter Type is CLINICAL ONE.

Call AdapterAdmin Interface

Indicates the authentication method for calling the Oracle InForm Adapter Administration interface when the Adapter URL starts with https.

Call Coding Interface

Indicates the authentication method for calling the Oracle InForm Adapter Coding interface when the Adapter URL starts with https.

If you select User Name/Password, you must enter the Oracle InForm authentication user name and password on the System Configuration page or the Study Information page for the studies associated with the adapter.

Call Discrepancy Interface

Indicates the authentication method for calling the Oracle InForm Adapter Discrepancy Enhanced interface when the Adapter URL starts with https.

If you select User Name/Password, you must enter the Oracle InForm authentication user name and password on the System Configuration page or the Study Information page for the studies associated with the adapter.

  • Both Certificate and UN/PW authentication are supported. By default, Oracle Central Coding uses Certificate Authentication, but at certain times UN/PW Authentication is needed when the Discrepancy interface needs to exchange certain data with Oracle Central Coding and also with another external system.
  • In order for UN/PW Authentication to function, the InForm user configured in Oracle Central Coding must be an active Oracle InForm user. Any issues with the user need to be addressed in Oracle InForm.
