Report enhancements

The following reports have been updated in this release:

  • The Subject Queries report now includes information about three new fields- Created By, Last Modified By, and Created By Role. More information about the new fields will be featured in the Subject Queries report.
  • The User Upload Error report has been reformatted to match the User Upload Template. This allows you to download the report, correct errors directly in the report, then simply import it to create user accounts. For more information, see the User Upload Error report.

Additional information on these reports will be featured in the Reporting Guide.

Kit lists can now contain special characters

Kit lists will now be stored as UTF-8, a standard which covers a broad range of characters. This means that dashes, decimals, along with other special characters ("|" "/" "$" "&") will now be allowed within kit numbers.

On the Study Inventory and Site Inventory pages, users can now search for individual kits only if the list contains UTF-8 characters.

On the Study Inventory page, provided that kit numbers include non-numerical characters, these will be sorted based on numerical characters first, followed by alphabetical (i.e. non-digit) characters.

As on the Study Inventory page, a range filter is now available on the Site Inventory page which searches across kit types.

Randomize subjects only when kits are available at site

You can now let site users randomize subjects only if specific kits are available at a site. On the Supply Settings tab, there is a new setting called Randomize Only when All Kits Are Available at Site. With it, you can choose to either allow randomization regardless of site inventory or prevent randomization when kits are not available. If you choose to confirm kits' availability at randomization, you can select the specific kit types required in the inventory to be able to randomize a subject.

Before this feature was introduced, there was no configuration available to set this behavior. Existing studies will have the setting set to No by default, to preserve the existing configuration. This allows sites to randomize subjects regardless of site inventory. As soon as this upgrade is complete, authorized sponsor users will be able to modify this setting to either allow or prevent randomization after kits' availability confirmation.
