Best practices for collecting data

You must pay attention to certain details during your process of filling out forms in the application.

Pre-filling information in forms

We recommend that you do not pre-fill information in forms. Instead, start data entry for a form when a visit occurs. If you start a visit for a subject and then your site starts using a new study version, the started visit may be unchanged for the subject, even if the new study version has changes to the visit.

Note any additional information when you dispense kits

After you dispense kits to a subject, you must verify the subject number. Additionally, there is more information that you should note:
  • The kit number to dispense.
  • Any dispensation instructions. If the study calculates a subject's dose based on a subject's answer to a question, such as weight, the Dispensation Instructions column includes the subject's dose and the frequency of the dose. If you see Blinded, someone else at your site, such as a pharmacist, must dispense the dose to the subject. The user who can view the Dispensation Instructions receives a notification with the instructions whenever a dispensation visit occurs. The dosing instructions are in the Kit Dispensation report.

How to answer certain question types

For drop-down questions and questions with checkboxes, you might be able to select more than one option, depending on the study protocol. On the right, below Question Hint, check if there are any instructions about the number of answers you are allowed to select. For a question with radio buttons, you can clear the option that you previously selected.
