When should I send initial shipments to sites?

You have two options: After each site is activated, and after subjects start a specific visit.

You make a choice when you specify supply settings.

  • You choose site activation so that sites receive supply before they enroll subjects, this way they don't have to turn subjects away due to lack of supply. However, if a site never enrolls a subject, supply is sent to the site unnecessarily.

    Note:

If you choose to use this option, you must associate a resupply strategy to the site before site activation. If a resupply strategy is not associated, the initial shipment will not be sent automatically at the time of site activation. See Select a resupply strategy for a site.
  • You choose a specific visit to send supply only to sites that enroll subjects. We recommend this option, if your study has a number of visits prior to randomization. This option is not suitable if randomization occurs on the same day as screening or soon after screening.
