Resetting the Password

You can reset the password for any database account as necessary; for example, if a user forgets his or her password.

To reset a password for a database account, do the following:

  1. Select Database Account from the Manage context menu, accessed from Navigation in the Oracle DMW toolbar.
  2. Use the Search Application User function to find the user account in need of a new password.
  3. Select the user account name in the search results.
  4. Click Reset Password.
  5. In the Password field, enter the new password at least 8 characters long.
  6. In the Confirm Password, enter the new password again.
  7. Click Apply.
