Copy user groups with or without users in Oracle DMW

You can create a copy of a user group in two ways: Either you can duplicate only the User Group definition with its supported roles or you can duplicate the definition with its supported roles, the users assigned to it, and their role assignments. When you duplicate a user group, the system prepends 'Copy of' to the name of the user group.

1. Select Security from the Navigation menu in the upper right corner of Oracle DMW.
   The page refreshes to display the Security interface. The Roles tab is selected by default.
2. Select the User Groups tab, located at the top middle of the screen.
3. Use the search function in the left panel to find the User Group you wish to copy. Click the User Group to select it.
4. Click Copy, located above the search field.
   The Copy User Group Confirmation window pops up.
5. Select one of the following options:
   • Roles: Use this option to copy the User Group definition with its associated roles.
   • Roles and Users: Use this option to copy the User Group definition, all associated roles, and the individual users assigned to those roles.
6. Click Copy.
   The copied role is created and set to Inactive by default. "Copy of" is prepended to the User Group name.
7. To work with the newly copied role, search for it in the left panel.
