Create object security roles in Oracle DMW

1. Select Security from the Navigation menu in the upper right corner of Oracle DMW.
   The page refreshes to display the Security interface. The Roles tab is selected by default.
2. Click Add.
   The Add Role panel on the right side of the screen is displayed.
3. Enter values in the following fields:
   • Role Name (Required): Enter a unique name for the role to be displayed in the user interface.
   • Code Value (Required): Enter a unique code to be used as an internal identifier.
   • Description: Enter a description of the role to help group administrators decide if they want to assign the role to a particular user in their user group.
4. Click Save.
   A confirmation window pops up to let you know if the save was successful. The new role has been created but set to Inactive.
5. In the left panel, use the search function to find and select your newly-created role.
6. Click Edit for the selected role.
   The Edit Role panel displays on the right side of the page.
7. Select the Active checkbox to indicate that the role is in use.
8. Click Save.
