Create and manage discrepancy default values

You can configure default values at the data model level that automatically populate certain fields when a discrepancy is created or modified (either manually or by a Validation Check) on data within the data model, reducing manual data entry for data managers.

You must have the DMW Manage Discrepancy Defaults user role to access the Manage Discrepancy Defaults function in the discrepancies interface.
  1. Select a study and navigate to the discrepancies interface.
  2. Click the Manage Defaults button.
The Manage Discrepancy Defaults interface opens in a new window overlay.
  3. Select a data model from the drop down menu. Discrepancies originating from data within the selected model will use the default values you configure in the next steps.
  4. Select or enter the default values for any of the following fields:
    • Reason
    • Category
    • Action
    • Comment
    • Append User Name
  5. Click OK to apply the default values across all lifecycles within the selected data model.
