Install Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility (RCU) and create repositories

Install the Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility (RCU) and create repositories.

  1. To locate the RCU shell script, go to <Middleware_Home>/oracle_common/bin. For example:

    /u01/app/oracle/product/Middleware14/oracle_common/bin

  2. Execute the following command:

    $ ./rcu

    The Repository Creation Utility is launched.

  3. Select Next.

    The Create Repository page appears.

  4. Under Create Repository, select System Load and Product Load.
  5. Select Next.

    The Database Connection Details page appears.

  6. From the Database Type drop-down list, select Oracle Database.
  7. Enter the database information, including a user name with SYSDBA privileges.
  8. From the Role drop-down list, select SYSDBA.
  9. Select Next.
  10. If prompted, select Ignore to ignore the warning about supported databases.

    The Checking Prerequisites dialog box appears.

  11. When checking is complete, select OK.

    The Select Components page appears.

  12. In the Create new prefix field, enter a prefix, such as EMPIRICA.
  13. Expand AS Common Schemas.
  14. Select Metadata Services and Oracle Platform Security Services.

    Audit-related checkboxes are automatically selected.

  15. Select Next.

    The Repository Creation Utility - Checking Prerequisites dialog box appears.

  16. Select OK.

    The Schema Passwords page appears.

  17. Specify the schema passwords and select Next.

    The Map Tablespaces page appears.

  18. Select Next.

    A confirmation dialog box appears.

  19. Select OK.

    The tablespaces are validated and created.

  20. Select OK.

    The Summary page appears.

  21. Select Create.

    After the repository is created, the Completion Summary page appears.

  22. Select Close.
