View Signal Management permission extended with new Annotate Signal Management permission (20402302)

In previous versions, the View Signal Management granted users access to the Signal Review module and allowed them to close alerts.

Beginning with this release, permissions have been refined for greater control:

• Existing permission – View Signal Management: Still grants access to the Signal Review module and enables users to view signal configurations published to their login group.
• New permission – Annotate Signal Management: Required for submitting product notes, product-event combination comments, alert reviews, or case annotations (if enabled). Without it, users have view-only access. Suitable for users actively participating in the signal/alert review process.

During the upgrade to 2025.4.01, the new Annotate Signal Management permission will be automatically assigned to all existing user roles that already have the View Signal Management permission at the time of upgrade, ensuring users retain their current capabilities.

The upgrade applies automatic permission updates only when View Signal Management permission is assigned at the user level.

Administrators can now decide if they want to only assign the View Signal Management permission or add the new Annotate Signal Management permission when creating new roles or updating individual permissions, providing flexibility for users’ involvement in the signal and alert review processes.
