Activate and deactivate alert types

A newly added alert type is deactivated by default. To use it, you must activate it. If the new alert type replaces an existing alert type, deactivate the previous alert type.

1. In the left navigation pane, click the Settings icon ().
2. From the Configure System menu, select Manage Signal Configurations.
3. Find the configuration, click the Row Action menu (), then select Edit Alert Types.
4. Find the alert type to activate or deactivate by looking in the Active in next refresh column. Active alert types have the value, Yes. Inactive alert types have the value No.
5. Click the alert type's Row Action menu () and select Activate or Deactivate.
   • You can only deactivate active alert types that do not have alerts needing review.
   • Changes will not appear in Signal Review until the signal configuration is refreshed.
