Roles and responsibilities

Contact Oracle Support to enable multi-enterprise support for your Oracle Empirica Signal Cloud environment. Superusers and users with the necessary permissions then perform the setup and maintenance tasks.

Note:

People can potentially assume multiple responsibilities, but separate user accounts are required.

Table 1-1 Roles and responsibilities

Role Responsibilities
Oracle Support or Consulting through the Support Cloud portal.
  • Enables the multi-enterprise enabled Argus implementation.
  • Imports the multi-enterprise enabled Argus data offering on the Manage Subscription Data Releases page.
  • If requested, creates an interactive signal management configuration for each Argus Mart enterprise.
Oracle or Oracle Empirica Signal superuser.
  • Sets or changes the Argus Mart Enterprise field on the Login Group Settings page.
  • Validates the configurations that have an enterprise ID.
  • Publishes each Argus Mart signal configuration to a user who has Manage Signal Configurations permission and belongs to a login group with the appropriate enterprise ID.
  • Shares report definitions and Interactive reports across all login groups.
  • Views all multi-enterprise objects regardless of the object’s publishing.

Note:

Changing a user's login group is possible, but not recommended.
A user with Manage Signal Configurations permission.
  • Publishes signal configurations to their login group.
  • Integrates the Oracle Empirica Topics feature.
  • Performs various customization and maintenance tasks related to users, configurations, aliases, topic workflow configurations, refreshes, alert types, and product properties.
