Review product-event combinations from a multisource configuration

As an extension of interactive signal configuration, multisource signal configurations enable you to perform safety surveillance across multiple data sources.

When reviewing statistics from a multisource signal configuration, your actions may affect the multisource signal configuration independently or also impact the underlying lead configuration. Any changes that affect the lead also extend to any other connected configurations.

Viewing aggregated data in a multisource signal configuration

When working with a multisource signal configuration, the Product-Event Combinations table includes aggregated data from all included configurations. You can identify the elements from secondary configurations by the prefix that matches the unique secondary label defined in the multisource signal configuration.
  • Select statistics columns from both the lead and secondary configurations.
  • View interactions for both the lead and secondary configurations.
  • View age group breakdown graphs for both the lead and secondary configurations.
  • View gender breakdown graphs for both the lead and secondary configurations.
  • View signal history from signal sets for both the lead and secondary configurations. The signal history includes the following:
    • Trend graphs (EBGM, EB05, and EB95).
    • Total case count histograms.
    • Statistical scores from signal sets for both the lead and secondary configurations.
    • Comments made on the product-event combination. They are shared with the lead configuration.
    • Alerts reviewed in the multisource configuration.
  • View signals for similar product-event combinations with additional columns and menu items for the secondary configurations available.
  • View, select, and interact with data from both the lead and secondary configurations in the Signal Statistics and Subgroup Statistics sections of the Product-Event Detail panel.

Independent data

Although initially populated from the lead configuration, once you start working in the multisource signal configuration, columns, views, and alerts are independent of the lead configuration. Your work is saved to the multisource signal configuration, not to the lead configuration.

Shared data

When working with a multisource signal configuration, the following actions also impact the underlying lead configuration. Any changes that affect the lead also extend to any other connected configurations.
  • Topic and Comment information
  • Edit Topic
  • Add Comment or Private Comment
  • Assign Reviewer

    Note:

If you are working with a multisource signal configuration, be aware that any changes you make to the Reviewers list overwrites the data in all connected configurations. To prevent confusion, you should assign reviewers from either the multisource signal configuration or the lead configuration, but not both. See Get started with multisource signal configurations.

When assigning a reviewer in the multisource signal configuration, the lead configuration is not updated until the next refresh. Be aware that inconsistencies in the reviewers list may exist until the lead configuration is refreshed.
